Steph Butigan (She/Her)
Stephanie is a mental health nurse and Clinical Nurse Educator with a particular passion for child, adolescent and perinatal mental health. She has worked extensively with young people and families experiencing complex mental health challenges, including previous experience in an acute adolescent inpatient unit at The Royal Children’s Hospital before moving into clinical nurse education.
Stephanie holds a Master of Mental Health Nursing and her clinical interests include early intervention, trauma-informed care, sensory modulation, and finding compassionate and therapeutic ways of working collaboratively with young people and their families.
Her approach centres on understanding the person beyond their presentation or diagnosis, recognising the role of relationships, environment, and lived experience in mental health and recovery.
Kinbase thinks, works and plays in Naarm (Melbourne). We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land, and pay respect to their Elders past and present. We honour Aboriginal child-rearing practices, centred in community, storytelling, and meaning-making through metaphor.
